Hello, Derek 'Deekstar' McNeill here. Born and raised on the west coast of Scotland. Father was a fisherman on the high seas of the north Atlantic, Mother was a telepathic identical twin from Glasgow city centre. My artistic background started at high school, then travelling around Europe very young, eventually working creatively backstage on theatrical sets, I was also working on music videos, film and TV. I worked on some very artistic and abstract music videos, great fun with unbounded creativity encouraged. Whilst editing music videos, I noticed how attractive, inspiring and complete a work of art, each single frame of a video was. I was compelled to print the frames to see the results of these single frames. Most appealing were the Egyptian Gold Goddess stills from a music video project. The first collection was created.
